# Welcome to RDMA

**RDMA** links two PCs on the same network. Nothing plugs into your gaming PC, and nothing is installed on it.

## How it works

1. **Main PC** — your gaming PC. It needs one thing: a **Realtek RTL8125** network adapter.
2. **2nd PC** — the other computer, on the same network.
3. **The network** — the two PCs talk over it, and the reading happens from the 2nd PC.

## What you get with a plan

* Everything configured for your two PCs
* Setup help on Discord whenever you need it
* Software access for as long as your plan is active

## What it costs

Plans start at **$79 / month**. See the current plans on [privatesolution.org](https://privatesolution.org).

## Is RDMA right for you?

* **Yes, if** you have (or can add) the RTL8125 adapter and two PCs on the same network.
* **Not sure?** Open a ticket, tell us your parts, and we will check — before you pay.
* **Want a one-time purchase instead?** Look at [hardware](/hardware/hardware-products.md).

## Next step

Check [RDMA Requirements](/rdma-setup/rdma-requirements.md), then follow the [setup guide](/rdma-setup/rdma-setup-guide.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://guides.privatesolution.org/rdma-setup/welcome-to-rdma.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
